The American Society of IRS Problem Solvers has established standards for experience and education with examination requirements. First, one must be a licensed CPA authorized to practice before the IRS. Second, one must attend a number of directly related professional courses. Third, one must pass a comprehensive examination administered by the ASIPS.
The CTRS designation gives the public a means to distinguish among practitioners rendering solutions to tax problems. The American Society of IRS Problem Solvers is the only organization solely devoted to the development of professional skills in the area of tax resolutions.
